Accuracy matters. Speed matters. The UCAT punishes you if either one is missing.
If you are accurate but far too slow, you may leave too many questions unfinished.
If you are fast but careless, you will lose marks on questions you could have solved.
The best preparation builds them in the right order.
Start with accuracy when learning a skill.
Once the method is reliable, gradually add time pressure.
This is much more effective than trying to become fast before you understand what you are doing.
You should also accept that perfect accuracy is not always realistic under UCAT timing. Sometimes spending an extra minute to make one answer certain is a poor trade if it costs you several later questions.
The goal is efficient accuracy.
Fast enough to finish. Careful enough to score well.
That balance is the real skill.
