How to Avoid Burnout During UCAT Preparation

UCAT burnout usually starts when preparation becomes unsustainable.

Too many full mocks, too many long sessions and no real breaks can make performance worse rather than better.

A strong plan includes rest.

Use shorter focused sessions when possible. Mix question practice with review. Take lighter days after demanding mocks.

You should also keep normal activities in your week. Exercise, friends, hobbies and sleep are not wasted time.

They help your brain recover.

Watch for signs of burnout: irritability, falling scores, poor concentration and feeling unable to start even simple sessions.

If that happens, reduce the volume temporarily.

A few lighter days can restore more progress than forcing yourself through exhausted practice.

The UCAT rewards clear thinking. Your preparation should protect that.
